Matters Of Concern

The infamous Army exercises in Iraq, in pursuit of the non existing weapons of mass destruction put many of us in distraught. Of course while not holding any brief or sympathy for the Saddam Hussein administration, as person with a strong sense of civil rights, the escapades in Iraq left a strong tinge of bitterness in me. How can one in a civil society think of going to war on another nation? I believe that defense preparedness is only a deterrent action and not meant to flaunt it heroically. And less said the better of the treatment the American troops meted out to the POWs.
