Changing Times

My school going son pesters me to have a pet dog at home, so that he could happily play with it. I had spent my childhood with a couple of German Shepherds and also have few photographs taken with them. But those were different times, with my mom being at home, as a home-maker, she could constantly be there to spend quality times with the pets. But now, the scenario is that the three of us- I, my wife and kid – go out in the morning, only to return late in the evening making it very difficult to rear a pet at home.
